Awards
On 27 May 2017 we were proud to receive one of the Huddersfield Examiner Community Awards, for the Community Project of 2017. The Awards Gala Dinner was hosted by ITV news presenter Nina Hussein and our award was presented by Helen Thewlis, Head of Family Law at Ramsdens Solicitors.
Announcing us as the winner Helen said the judges had chosen Denby Dale Community Library over two other brilliant community projects ‘for the sheer size and scale of what we have achieved, in turning our ambition into reality.’

Duke of York's Community Initiative
In April 2016 we were proud to receive an award in person from the Duke of York. His Community Initiative is a Royal Award presented to community groups. To win an award a project must be ‘owned, developed and led by the people they serve, be of real value to the community, be well run and an inspiration to others.’
