Although we already have a great team of over 20 library volunteers, we are always keen to recruit more.

Volunteering can be as much or as little as you wish to offer:

• • Some volunteers regularly donate a few hours of their time on an agreed day and time slot, others step in when needed on an occasional basis.

• There’s a range of roles you can play. Volunteer in the library and help customers get the most from our library, or help with reading activities for children – all of which you will receive training for from Kirklees Library Services. Join our team of caretakers, and help them do routine maintenance of the building and car park. Or volunteer with Kirkwood Hospice and help in their café and gift shop.

Together our library volunteers have grown into a great team who also meet socially.
