Book group with a difference, for those with an interest in science: unlike other groups we don't all read the same book. Instead, we meet once a month to talk about any books we've read that can be classified as science, however loosely. These can range from geology to economics, biography to nature writing, Stephen Hawkins (Brief History Of Time) to Adam Kay (This Is Going To Hurt). We are an informal group for people interested in exploring family genealogy, local history or other history projects. We do this through presentations & discussions, sharing individual projects & initiating new ones. Plus there is an input from members with particular experience & expertise.
Spring Themed Family Crafts
New weekly, free group event. Join us to learn basic skills of mending: how to sew on a button; how to darn; how to add a patch. Learn some simple techniques and enjoy the mindfulness of hand sewing. No need to book; all welcome! Every Monday 4pm to 6pm.
