SEND drop-in event

Kirklees has a service called the Kirklees SEND Local Offer, which is an information, advice and guidance service for families of children and young people up to 25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We provide help with anything related to SEND, from help with getting support in school to finding inclusive activities for those with SEND

Mend it Mondays

New weekly, free group event. Join us to learn basic skills of mending: how to sew on a button; how to darn; how to add a patch. Learn some simple techniques and enjoy the mindfulness of hand sewing. No need to book; all welcome! Every Monday 4pm to 6pm.

Jewellery Club

Jewellery Club. We are a supportive, self-help group working on a wide range of creative projects. Free, all welcome although the group is currently full. If you'd like to join the group's 'waiting list' please contact Pauline Rainey on 01484 860766 or speak with Molly in the library cafe.

Meditation & Positive Thinking

Everyone, whether spiritual or not, is looking for happiness & wants to be free from suffering & problems. In this course we can learn how to fulfil these wishes, especially in these difficult & challenging times. We will learn methods to transform our difficulties by strengthening our love & compassion & deepening our wisdom.
